About Me

I have been playing the guitar for around twenty years now. Gigging and large performances have always been my favourite past-time, and when not out playing I enjoy testing out new music and recording / mastering studio recordings of everything from full bands to individual singer / songwriters.

I have owned and used a lot of stomp boxes and amplifiers over the years, and decided to create this blog as a way of putting together a load of information about everything to do with guitars, amps, effects pedals and music in general.

While some of this information will be basic for seasoned pros, my aim is to take all of the things I wished I’d known a little earlier and put them all into one place for the benefit of anybody who gets something from what I am writing.

Thanks for checking out the site, I hope you like what you see!

There is an excessive amount of lore, legend, and lies when it comes to guitar stuff. The very personal nature of tone–and how it affects us–makes quantifying sound and the gear we use to make it a difficult proposition. Thank you for your straightforward reviews and opinions. Rock on! -Geno
